
BATESVILLE’S MAIN STREET FARMERS MARKET OPEN SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17th, 8am-noon
The Main Street Farmers Market in historic downtown Batesville will be open Saturday, October 17th from 8am to noon in the Pocket Park on Main Street. The Market features locally grown foods from Clark Farm, Mahan Farm, Garden Girl Produce and Five Acre Farm and will have beautiful fall greens, lettuces, radishes, turnips, potatoes, sweet potatoes, broad beans, Fall tomatoes, and Arkansas grown apples and pumpkins.
Downtown Pie Company and Rural Goods will have home baked pies, breads and pastries. Garden Girl Produce out of Pleasant Plains will have pasture raised meats and cheeses, as well as new jams and jellies, Harvest Fresh vinegars and marinades. Brood Farm out of Cave City will have fresh eggs from free ranging chickens as well as goat milk soaps with a special line of soaps for Christmas. Local artist and teacher, Katie Covington, will be selling pottery, handmade and painted aprons, paintings and jewelry.
Live music at the October 17th Market will start around 9am, weather permitting. Check the Main Street Facebook page for details on Market Music.
The final Market Day of the 2015 season will be Saturday, November 7th.
