Ozark Highlands Radio, a new syndicated, hour-long program, will make its debut on Jan. 8, 2016. The weekly show will be broadcast on public radio stations across Arkansas, with 40 original episodes produced each year. In addition to the music, “Feature Host” segments take listeners on a musical journey with historians, authors and personalities who explore the people, stories and history of the Ozark region. Ozark Folk Center State Park, in conjunction with the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism, produces the show, which features live music and interviews recorded at the center’s 1,000-seat auditorium in Mountain View.

“Ozark Highlands Radio is a wonderful format to feature all that the Ozarks and Mountain View have to offer,” Ozark Folk Center State Park Superintendent John Morrow says. “With the creation of the radio program, we’ve expanded our musical offerings at the Ozark Folk Center State Park to include more than 30 feature concerts each season.”

Archives of aired programs are available at ozarkhighlandsradio.com and include additional content such as extended interviews and performances.
