The Calico Rock Museum invites you to come celebrate Arkansas Heritage Month with us on Saturday with the “Celebrating Calico Rock Art” event.
At 10:00 a.m., the museum will recognize winners of the local high school art show. High school students created art works based on our Calico Rock history. The winners will be honored and prizes awarded at a small reception in their honor in the Murphy Gallery.At 11:00 a.m., the museum will officially open a special exhibit featuring both the local high school art students and nationally acclaimed local artists Emma Morgan, Harvey Bufford, and Junior Cobb.
Between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., there will be family art activities in the museum main gallery.
All of the events are open to the public and completely free.
