Independence County Library Summer Reading Program to begin in June
School is almost out and we’re ready for summer at the Independence County Library.
Registration for our Summer Reading Program begins June 1. Story Hour begins June
8 and continues until July 27. Preschoolers to sixth graders are welcome to join our
reading program and pledge to read library books this summer. All those who register
will receive a t-shirt and a prize every week for reading books. Those who complete the
program will receive a certificate and a grand prize!
Be sure and attend Ms. Charlotte’s Story Hour each Wednesday during Summer
Reading Program, too. Preschoolers come at 10:00 am and grade school children
come at 2:00 pm for an hour of stories, videos, crafts, and even some live
performances!
Be sure to stop by the library at 368 E. Main Street in Batesville to register beginning
