The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) and 2016 sponsors are pleased to announce the 73rd Annual White River Water Carnival schedule of events that will take place on Saturday, Aug. 27 at Riverside Park in Batesville. The 2016 schedule of events is as follows:

10 a.m. – MDA Firetruck Pull

10 a.m. – River City Cruisers’ Car Show

10 a.m. – Vendors Open

11 a.m. – Kidzone Opens

11 a.m. – Alicia Williams Band Performance

12 p.m. – Fusion Dance Academy Performance

12:30 p.m. – Batesville High School Drumline Performance

12:45 p.m. – Without Limits MMA Performance

1 p.m. – BodyFit Zumba Performance

1:15 p.m. – Lyon College Pipe Band Performance

1:30 p.m. – Independence Elite Gymnastics Demonstration

1:45 p.m. – Keith Symanowitz Performance

3 p.m. – “Boatin’ Down the White” Parade

4:30 p.m. – Lucky Dogs Pet Tricks Show

5:15 p.m. – Toothfairy & Friends

5:30 p.m. – Area Pageant Winners Showcase

6:00 p.m. – The Roadshow Band

7:00 p.m. – Kidzone Closes

7:00 p.m. – IMPACT Independence County Announcement

7:30 p.m. – Backroad Anthem LIVE

9:00 p.m. – Fireworks Showcase

 

Submission forms for the parade are still being accepted at the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, 409 Vine Street or by e-mail to landon.downing@gmail.com. The parade theme is “Boatin Down the White” and encourages participants to showcase their favorite way to navigate the White River. (ex. speed boat, barge, raft, fishin’ boat, pontoon, steamboat, canoe, sail boat, cruise ship, inner tube, etc.) Leadership Batesville encourages those considering being in the parade to be creative and have fun! “You don’t need a vehicle, boat or even a trailer to be in the parade; we would love to see bikes, ATV’s, golf carts, and wagons participate,” said Leadership Batesville participant Mary Cox.
