Mountain Man Rendezvous Begins Tonight at Rand Park
Be sure to get to Calico Rock tomorrow for the MMR! I have been to Calico Rock events and they know how to treat people from eateries to special events. Several years ago I attended a concert at the school, and ate at a restaurant beforehand with live music! I ordered catfish and I think it was at least 1 pound, or more! You never know when you show up there what will be going on! Surprises as well as the advertised! Actually, I have family there and my family roots began there!!! They are fine folks! See you there! Tonight under the twilight, an encampment has begun in Rand City Park. A larger contingent of authentic, period tents than ever before has sprung up along Calico Creek. Tomorrow, even more are expected.Mountain Man Rendezvous promises to be bigger and better than ever before.On Friday, Calico Rock Elementary School students traveled to the rendezvous throughout the afternoon. The event is closed to the students, parents and teachers.Friday evening, the rendezvous will be open to the public with the Stew Cook-Off and lots of family fun activities.Saturday is our big day!We hope you will join us this weekend for Mountain Man Rendezvous.—
