Christmas in Calico Rock Events on Saturday, December 10th
Yes, we know that the crisp morning air and fog along the river is just ushering in Fall, but we also know that Christmas will be here before we know it. The Calico Rock Museum will sponsor our annual Christmas in Calico events on Saturday, December 10.
This means that we will be looking for businesses, churches, or school groups that are interested in creating Christmas Living Windows. If you have not seen or participated in them before, it’s a great opportunity for your groups or employees to act out a scene from their favorite Christmas story. It’s so much fun and brings the entire community together for an old fashioned Christmas.
Following the windows, the Calico Rock and Pineville Volunteer Fire Departments lead the way in the Lighted Christmas Parade. They deck out their fire trucks and rescue vehicles in thousands of Christmas lights. But, we are also looking for businesses, personal ATVs, churches, school groups, and individual families to join in the fun. Christmas lights can be powered by using an inverter that converts electricity from a cigarette lighter to a power cord. They can be picked up at most hardware stores (we have two great ones in town—Knowles True Value and B & B Supply).

It’s not to early to begin planning a window or float for Christmas in Calico. For more information or to reserve your space (space is limited for the windows), call us at 870-297-6100.
