Gloria Sanders Chosen to attend the 2017 Jekyll Island Mgmt. Institute
Gloria Sanders, Executive Director of the Calico Rock Museum & Visitor Center, has been chosen to attend the prestigious Jekyll Island Management Institute (JIMI). The eight-day training and networking conference is held on Jekyll Island, Georgia in January, 2017. It is an exclusive program with only twenty museum professionals chosen nationwide each year.

At JIMI, museum professionals have an opportunity to learn current methods in the field, hone their leadership skills, and build networks with their peers across the country. JIMI offers opportunities for participants to learn management skills through presentations, small group discussions, projects and participatory exercises. Participants discover their management styles through self-tests and activities, group project assignments and presentations.
Gloria Sanders has served as the executive director of the Calico Rock Museum since 2010 and was named the 2016 Distinguished Museum Professional of the Year by the Arkansas Museums Association. The Arkansas Museums Association has awarded Sanders with a tuition-paid scholarship to JIMI.
