Noon Program: What’s happening in the Heritage Herb Garden? Garden Tours with Tina Marie: What’s happening in the heritage garden today? This program meets at the Bessie Moore deck and then follows the leader through the park. Herbalist, gardener, and musician Tina Marie Wilcox is nationally known for her programs on herbs and the Heritage Herb Gardens at the Ozark Folk Center State Park.

When they arrived, they found their neighbors had a rich tradition of songs, or “ballets”, similar to their cowboy songs and poetry from the West. Famous cowboy poets such as Jim McElroy, Hubb Willis and Glenn Ohrlin have called the Stone County area home. Smitty follows this tradition with his original tales of current cowboy life that have won many awards and lots of guffaws. Young Pioneers for children ages 7-14 at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m.
