First Day Hikes – January 1, 2015, 7:00PM FREE
Join Lake Charles State Park for the annual First Day Hike! What a great way to kick off your New Year’s resolution! Listen for night sounds and enjoy the stars as we hike Lake Charles. Program good for children and adults of all ages. Dress for the weather. Please call the park closer to time for details.
Basic Orienteering Class – March 14, 2015 – $8.00 per participant, limit 10 per class. 9:00AM to 1:00PM
Learn how to use a map and compass through hands on training and activities. No experience necessary. There will be a beginner course with teams at the end of the workshop. Dress for the weather and for terrain. Reservations are required to attend.\
Don’t forget winter office hours from December through February are Monday –Friday 8AM to 5PM, Saturday and Sunday 1PM to 5PM. Ranger on duty at all times for emergencies and camper assistance.
