The Spring River Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its Annual Banquet, Jan. 20, 2015, 6:30 pm at the Artisan Steak House and Grill. The Keynote speaker will be Beverly Nix, CEO of St. Bernard’s’ Healthcare Associated Regional Providers (SHARP) since its inception in 1993. Ms. Nix received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Arkansas State University and Masters degree in Healthcare Administration and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Ms. Nix has been honored as the Jonesboro Business Woman of the Year in 1991 and again in 2002. She was inducted into the Legacy Society at ASU in 2010 and named a Distinguished Alumni of ASU in 2012. She was named as one of the top 10 female executives for Arkansas in 2012 and 2014 was named as one of the top 8 Influential Women in Arkansas by Arkansas Money and Politics.
Ms. Nix performs volunteer work for many local community and professional organizations. She is the Past Chairman of the Board for the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce and St. Bernard’s Women’s Advisory Council. She currently the Chairman of the Board for the American Red Cross-The Greater Ozarks-Blood Services and currently the Chairman of the ASU Chancellor’s Cabinet, this is a short list of MS Nix’s many accomplishments.
Ms. Nix is the daughter of Bill and Alice Nix of Ash Flat and mother to three daughters and has two grandchildren.
