Cherokee Village provides two outstanding courses. The South Course is an 18-hole, bent grass course with water in play. Set in the middle of a glorious natural arena, the course was ranked in 1996-97 as the second-best golf facility in Arkansas by Golf Digest, which remarked on its great design, terrific staff and friendly atmosphere. The North Course, built in 1963 with 18 holes, is divided and bordered by the South Fork River, which adds the beauty of natural surroundings to the challenging play. The Course at Turkey Mountain features 18 holes and is located in beautiful Horseshoe Bend. Opened in 1973 with a par of 73, the course rating is 69.5 and has a slope rating of 116 on Bermuda grass. Mountain View’s Pine Hills Golf Course facility brings you nine exciting holes covering 1,743 yards with a par of 29. Built on hilly terrain, most of the fairways are wide open with a pond coming into play on one of the holes. This executive-length course was designed by Pete Whitfield and opened in 1994.
