Have a seat on original stools from Spit Corner, rest your feet on an old road grader blade! Wow!

When you are anywhere close to this exclusive lovely downtown Batesville coffee shop/wifi home/with a YUMMY menu, be sure and just stop in and have a restful 30 minutes or hour! Enjoy your choice espresso with scone of strawberry or chocolate or who knows what else delicious may be warm and waiting for you! Maybe a breakfast burrito. It’s up to you, but you certainly have a choice of what you want and how long you want to linger and visit or wi-fi. A lot of my friends have started morning gatherings for their “before work” coffee visit. What a wonderful addition to our awesome little town of Batesville! Alivia, one of the Baristas at The Pinto and Comida!

I’ve driven by several times but yesterday provided the perfect opportunity to go in The Pinto and Comida, named for their beloved relative and located on our beautifully renovated downtown Main Street. There is so much atmosphere among menus and food and people, it’s hard to not stay a while even though your food is prepared soon after you order. My eyes feasted on some of the most unique decor I’ve ever seen in one restaurant/coffee shop. The staff were extremely friendly and proficient at their jobs, and helpful to this woman with all the questions. The owners, Haley & Brice Stephens, have gathered up all the beautiful, lots of antiques, things hanging, dangling, set around, wow! Be sure and look straight across at the ordering station at what is hanging on the wall! It’s beautiful and ? One of a kind. There are games to play for people wanting coffee or tea while visiting with friends. Some of my friends go there daily, and it’s one of the early morning Downtown Batesville Main Street places to eat, drink and be merry!
I had a mocha latte, my favorite, and a breakfast burrito with eggs, bacon, potatoes!, cheese, and pico. It was just right in size and taste! Wonderful breakfast! While enjoying my food, my husband pointed out the white stools across from our table, gathered around the table top by the register. The Barista told me they were the only things salvageable after the fire at our old Spit Corner, who doesn’t know that place of the past? I ate a few greasy burgers from there years ago! AND! When you sit there, your footrest is an old road grader blade. Rustic, antique, downright the most fun and beautifully decorated eatery I’ve encountered in a while. Dine in or outside on their cozy patio circling the Pinto and Comida!
The owners and entire staff are long time friends and like one big happy family, really glad to be there and ready to serve you and yours whatsoever your heart desires from their huge tantalizing menu selection.
They offer coffee/espresso, breakfast, burritos, tacos, for lunch! And Beans and Cornbread!!!!! After 2 pm you get salsa and chips, fresh delish bakery scones, cookies, and all kinds of yummy stuff! Serves breakfast, lunch and coffee.
