1. March 21 & 22: The Exquisite Easter Egg – Ukrainian Pysanky
These elaborate and intricate designed Easter eggs are filled with history, mythology and story. Bob Byers will be your guide, as you learn the ancient art form in this fun filled workshop.
- March 27: Art at night- An Evening with Molten Glass – Free open house presentation with Sage and Tom Holland.
Celebrated glass artists Sage and Tom Holland, will share their passion for the amazing history of glass.
3. March 28: A Brief Introduction to Glass Bead Making
This is a one day workshop that offers the opportunity to works with molten glass and try your hand at making multi-colored glass beads… taught by Sage Holland
- April 4 & 5: Fundamentals of Digital Photography
Learn techniques to create truly artful photographs and begin to develop your own personal style. Ed Alexander will be your guide from first concept to final print.
5. April 3 – 5: – Basic Woodturning
Wood turning is an exciting craft skill, an expressive art form or just a fun a hobby for people of all ages. This workshop, taught by local artist Thomas Dunn, is for people new to woodturning.
- April 10 -12: “Liquid Core” Molten Glass Design
A new technique in glass designs allows for a wider range of creative flexibility in making wild and complex shapes that are… larger, thinner, off center, free formed and intentionally distorted. The technique will be introduced in this advanced level workshop, taught by the esteemed international glass artist Beau Anderson
- April 13 –14: “Feather Weight Focals –The Hollow Blown Glass Beads & Vessels
For those experienced in working with molten glass, this workshop offers multiple techniques for making light weight hollow beads of soft glass. Also taught by Beau Anderson.
- April 24 – 26: Basic Blacksmithing
Both practical and artistic, the skill of blacksmithing is a creative full body experience. This workshop will cover the all the fundamentals for first time forging. Students are invited to stay at instructor Bob Patrick’s magical mosaic house in Everton. —
