The Batesville Area Arts Council is accepting submissions for its 3rd annual National Juried Art Exhibition. The show is open to all artists 18 and older working in 2D media. Artists may submit up to three images with an entry fee of $25 ($20 for BAAC members). Two additional images may be submitted for an additional $5 each. Deadline is March 13, 2015. Juror for the exhibition is Delita Martin. A Texas native, Martin is currently based in Little Rock, Arkansas, Martin received a BFA in drawing from Texas Southern University and an MFA in drawing and printmaking from Purdue University.
Formally a member of the fine arts faculty at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Martin is currently the founding director of Black Box Press Studio and full-time artist. Martin is a 2010 recipient of a Telly Award and a 2011 recipient of an Emerging Voices award for distinguished Purdue Alumni. Martin’s work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally. Her work is included in numerous portfolios and collections. Accepted works will be exhibited at the BAAC Gallery on Main, 226 E. Main Street, April 28 – June 13, 2015. Cash prizes available.
