Beatles Expert to Hold Book Release Party at
Beatles at the Ridge Festival
Renowned Beatles writer and expert Dr. Kit O’Toole will have a book release party for her new publication, Songs We Were Singing: Guided Tours through the Beatles’ Lesser-Known Tracks, on Saturday, September 19 from 3-4 p.m. CT as part of the Beatles at the Ridge festival in Walnut Ridge, AR. O’Toole will be giving a presentation, as well as signing copies of her book for purchase. Cake and hot tea will be served.
The party will also feature an appearance by noted artist Enoch Doyle Jeter. Each person who purchases O’Toole’s book at the party will be entered into a drawing for a limited-edition poster, designed by Jeter and hand-signed by both him and O’Toole. The drawing will be held immediately following O’Toole’s book presentation. Anyone who purchases the book will also receive a special edition tote bag!
Kit O’Toole is a Chicago-based writer and blogger who has written about rock, jazz, and R&B for over 20 years. She is the author of Michael Jackson FAQ (Backbeat Books) as well as the forthcoming Beatles book mentioned. Her work has appeared in such print publications as Showcase Chicago and Goldmine, and she is a longtime contributing editor for Beatlefan magazine. As a blogger, O’Toole writes for Something Else Reviews, Blinded by Sound, and Cinema Sentries, and she previously served as a music editor for Blogcritics.
