Santa  In the past two years, scenes from “The Night Before Christmas,” “A Christmas Carol” and “Santa’s Workshop” complimented a chilly scene from the movie “Frozen,” a whimsical “Ice Fishing” display and others. This year on Saturday, December 12 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the Calico Rock Museum presents their third annual “Living Windows.” At 7:00 p.m., the Calico Rock and Pineville Fire Departments Parade of Lights begins.

“Each storefront window has a Christmas or winter scene. A storeowner, local organization or church sponsors each window. The first year, our theme was ‘A Dickens Old Fashioned Christmas,’ but we had a variety. Besides the ‘Cratchit Family Dinner’ and ‘Scrooge,’ we had ‘Little Women,’ ‘Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen,’ ‘An Ozarks Christmas’ and others.” In a garage down the street, the Assembly of God presented a live nativity scene and play “From the Crib to the Cross and Beyond.”
