Calico Rock Museum & Visitor Center during 2015 had a RECORD number of visitor contacts!! Sweet!!!
The Calico Rock Museum & Visitor Center is pleased to announce that during 2015, we had a RECORD number of visitor contacts. We had 27,753 visitor contacts which includes actual visitors into the museum, phone calls with tourists, and web traffic on our website and the new www.explorecalico.com. This is a 23% increase from any previous year!We had over 2,300 volunteer hours representing over $41,000 in value to the museum. And, we had over $120,000 in taxable sales between our gift shop and the Printing Press Café which generated nearly $11,000 in sales tax revenue! We created five new jobs in the community last year and helped to continue the Main Street economic revitalization.We shared our history, preserved historic buildings and told our story!It was a great year for the Calico Rock Museum & Visitor Center, Calico Rock Museum Foundation, Calico Rock Artisans Cooperative, and the Printing Press Café & Ice Cream Parlor!None of this would have been possible without your support!
