rama “’night Mother” to be presented at Downtown Playhouse
Downtown Playhouse, Integrity First Bank & Service Abstract proudly present the prize-winning drama ‘night, MOTHER” which opens June 24th and runs through July 23rd. Carol Belford-Lewallen and Emily Weisenbach star in the production.
“‘night Mother” is a touching drama based on the relationship of a mother and her daughter. What would you do if someone you loved sat down with you one night and calmly told you that they were going to end their life before morning? This is Thelma Cates’ dilemma. Her daughter, Jessie, has had it. How can Thelma convince her daughter that life is worth living if she can’t feel her pain? How can she end her daughter’s embrace of death before morning?
Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 pm, with the doors opening for dessert and beverages at 6:30 pm. Sunday shows begin at 2:00 pm with the doors opening for dessert and beverages at 1:00 pm. Tickets for the show, which include beverage and dessert are $18.00 plus tax and gratuity! Groups of 20 or more are eligible for discounted tickets!
