Holiday Music at Ozark Folk Center State Park
Mountain View, Arkansas – Gospel and Christmas music are on tap Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27 at the Ozark Folk Center State Park.
The annual Thanksgiving Gospel Concert on Thursday will feature traditional Gospel favorites from the duo of Pam Setser and Joni Bishop. Concert starts at 7:00 p.m., in the White Oak Theatre, with advance tickets available by calling 870-269-3851 during regular business hours. Tickets are $10.00 and seating is limited to 150 guests.
Friday night music will feature special guest Joe Jewell, with a selection of holiday songs on the hammered dulcimer. Joni and Pam will complete the concert by singing and playing their favorite holiday songs. Concert starts at 7:00 p.m. and tickets will be available the evening of the show. Tickets are $10.00 and seating is limited to 150 guests.
Pam Setser is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, specializing in the traditional sounds and music of the Ozarks. Pam started performing as a child with her parents at the Ozark Folk Center State Park in the early 1970’s. “Crooked Ridge” is Pam’s latest album and features traditional Ozark music with Pam’s distinctive vocal style and instrumentation.
Joni Bishop is a singer/songwriter and artist living in Nashville, TN. Her vocal and guitar style are reminiscent of many of the early folk, blues and gospel performers she listed to as a young musician. In addition to her skills as a musician, Joni is also an accomplished multi-media artist, presenting her work at galleries across the United States.
