pendence County Library plans to form a Friends Foundation
The Independence County Library is forming a Friends Foundation and invites the public to participate in a meeting to discuss forming the group. A Friends Foundation, according to Library Director Vanessa Adams, is a group that advocates for the library through library promotion and marketing, fundraising, and volunteering. The first meeting is intended as an information session to discuss the objective of forming a Friends Foundation for the Independence County Library. The meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, at the Barnett Building. Refreshments will be served.
