Join us for Family Day – Saturday March 19th – Old Independence Regional Museum-

Dear Valued Donor,

Thank you for your continued support of Old Independence Regional Museum. Without your generosity, the museum would not be able to achieve its mission of educating our community and preserving regional history. I want to take a minute of your time to update you on the recent happenings at OIRM.
OIRM was fortunate this year to receive the Bill Jordan Public Grant through the Arkansas Archeological Society. Those funds were used to purchase materials and provide free tours to our regional schools. The archeology themed tours gave students the opportunity to experience a mock dig site, discover and interpret artifacts, make their own rock art, and create their own pottery. This was a wonderful experience for students and teachers alike. These tours also brought in several schools that had either never been to the museum or had not been in many years. Being able to make these new connections is vital to OIRM’s existence. In all, over 700 students visited during Archeology Week!
With the help of donors like you, OIRM is able to offer interactive tours and events for students and adults alike. It is important that each visitor have a positive experience and you help make it possible. Without your support, Old Independence Regional Museum would not be able to teach our history in an effective, memorable way.
Thank you for your gifts and please know that you are helping influence the lives of hundreds of children each year.
Kindest Regards,
Amelia Bowman
