Basic Orienteering Class

$8.00 per participant, limit 10 per class.
9:00AM to 1:00PM
Learn how to use a map and compass through hands on training and activities. No experience necessary. There will be a beginner course with teams at the end of the workshop. Dress for the weather and for terrain. Reservations are required to attend.

Kids Fishing Derby

Ready to catch the big one? Or at least tell stories about the one that got away? It’s that time of year again, so break out the pole and your special bait and cast your line in Lake Charles State Park’s Annual Fishing Derby. Prizes will be awarded for all age groups at noon. Open to kids from 5-15 year olds. FREE TO ENTER.
