Mixed Media Workshop
Interested in learning creative mixed media techniques that add depth to your abstract paintings? This 2 day workshop is for you. A Mixed Media Workshop, sponsored by The Spring River Artists Guild will be held on July 7th and 8th, 2016 from 10 am to 4 pm, upstairs in Cruiser’s Restaurant on Main Street in downtown Hardy, AR with instructor Dewana McIntosh. Cost of this workshop is $80.00 including a nonrefundable $20.00 deposit to reserve your space. Send your deposit to SRAG, P.O. Box 586, Hardy, AR 72572. There is an entrance on First Street for those who do not like climbing the stairs. Register early as space is limited and you don’t want to miss any of the fun.
Dewana is a public school art educator and an award winning artist. She is also co owner at Earth Shake Harmony and can be contacted at iluvvangogh@yahoo.com. We will tackle design issues and experiment with innovative printmaking techniques. You will need a 16X20 panel board or heavyweight watercolor paper, a variety of drawing materials, watercolor paint, acrylic paint, drawing of a single object that you have done and any material that has a texture, stencils, stamps, and a creative spirit. If you do not have some of the above materials, someone else will have it to share.
