New Freebie Frenzy Added to This Year’s White River Water Carnival
August 4th, 2016 (Batesville, AR)—The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) and sponsor, Citizens Bank are adding something new to this year’s Water Carnival, a frenzy of freebie give-a-ways! “Citizens Bank is excited to sponsor the Freebie Frenzies during the Water Carnival this year. We know these frenzies will generate excitement around the stage and throughout the day. We appreciate partnering with the Chamber as they are always looking for new ways to reach out and offer exciting things to our community.” Micah Beard, Market President. Freebie Frenzy events will be denoted on the White River Water Carnival schedules that will soon be circulating around the region and on social media. Freebies will be given away at random in conjunction with the events that are denoted.
Serena Martin BACC Membership Director says, “The frenzy will always take place from the main stage, and we encourage visitors of the carnival to keep an eye on the White River Water Carnival Facebook page and around town for schedules listing the events where there will be give-a-ways. We thought this would be an excellent way to promote our members to the community and have a lot of audience interaction and fun while doing that. Since you must be present to experience the frenzy, it should also encourage visitors to experience the main stage entertainment line-up, which is filled with high-energy performances, music from all different genres, exciting community announcements, and children’s shows.” The 73rd Annual White River Water Carnival kicks off at 10:00 a.m. on Aug. 27th at Riverside Park. Admission to the event is free.
The White River Water Carnival is a free, family event that features entertainment, food vendors, craft and commercial vendors, a parade, a classic car show, kids’ activities, and a fireworks display. Kids’ activities require the purchase of admission tokens and are currently sponsored in part by ARCare, FNBC, McDonald’s, Pepsi, Walmart, and Westrock Orthodontics. The parade is sponsored by FutureFuel Chemical Company. The car show is currently hosted by the River City Cruisers and is sponsored by Scott and Stanley Wood Family Dealerships. Fireworks are currently made possible by Bad Boy Mowers, Merchants & Planters Bank, Sherwood Urgent Care, and Sonic Drive-In. All other carnival entertainment is currently sponsored by Bryant’s Pharmacy, Citizens Bank, Cup’d Up Outdoors, Dr. Rodney Griffin Dental Care, First Community Bank, Flowers Baking Company, Life Plus, Ozark Mountain Poultry, Peco, Southern Bank, Village Veterinary Care, White River Health System, and White River Petroleum.
