Old Independence Regional Museum Monthly Program for Senior Citizens Oct. 27 – Batesville’s Old Independence Regional Museum will be offering its monthly program for senior citizens on Tuesday, October 27th at 10 a.m. “We are so please to have Master Gardener Nelson Barnett presenting a program on herb preservation,” stated Amelia Bowman Director/Humanities Educator. Afterward, France Mathis, museum volunteer, will lead participants in making a fall themed topiary.
This program is free. Space is limited to 15 participants and reservations are required. Please call the museum at 870-793-2121 to reserve your space!

Old Independence serves a 12-county area: Baxter, Cleburne, Fulton, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Marion, Poinsett, Sharp, Stone, White, and Woodruff. Parts of these present-day counties comprised the original Independence County in 1820s Arkansas territory.
