Cathy Drew, Executive Director of the Ozark Gateway Region will be the featured speaker at the Spring River Area Chamber meeting, Tuesday, March 17, 2015 @ The Copper Feather in Cherokee Village. Drew’s presentation will focus on tourism in the Spring River Area and the economic impact to the area as a tourism based economy. She will have just come from attending the Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Texarkana and will bring an update from that conference to Chamber members and guests.
Drew a long-time resident of the region states, “It is a pleasure to encourage people to visit the region that has been part of my entire life, what better career than being able to promote tourism in the region I call home!”
Drew has been involved with the Ozark Gateway Region since 1990. She is an active member of the Batesville Rotary Club and is a board member for the Arkansas Travel Council. She was most recently nominated as ‘Arkansas’ Tourism Person of the Year’.
