Stroll the Square is partnering with the Eddie Mae Heron Center to celebrate Juneteenth on June 4, 6-8pm. Free food, music, and art from 6-8pm, The City of Pocahontas will be sponsoring a Community Movie Night at the Courthouse beginning at 8:30 pm. Eddie Mae Herron Center will be serving hot dogs and Sodas. Stop by Bluebird Coffee House hot coffees, teas and sweet treats. The Gallery on the Square will feature the artworks of Becky Lindner, The Purple Turtle, A&B Sales, Douglas Jewelers, Carroll’s Variety Store, ParanLillie Photography with guest appearance of Bobo the Clown, Camera Corner Studios, Back Door Children’s Store will be having a huge sale with lots of Fourth of July patriotic clothing. NEW to the this Stroll, Computer Corner will be hosting a Pop-Up Maker space. Forge Labs Maker space Network part of Forge Arkansas will be coming and bringing their projects. A maker space is a community-operated workspace where people with common interests, often computers, technology, science, digital art, or anything you “make” can meet to socialize and collaborate. The pop-up maker space will include (but will not be limited to): 3-D printing, micro electronics, wood working, etc. We will also have a Mini-Makers section for the kids to come and play! This section will include legos and snap electronics. Come celebrate Juneteenth with the Eddie Mae Heron Center and check out the Maker Space at Computer Corner.
