Summer is almost here and kids are looking for a great outdoor adventure! Your children can enjoy fishing in Arkansas by attending our Kid’s Fishing Workshop at Jacksonport State Park on Saturday, May 21 from 10 a.m. until 12 Noon.
Our beautiful White River is filled with catfish, bass, and crappie just waiting to be caught! Learn how to cast and bait a fishing pole with a park interpreter. Experience the fun and excitement of catching the big one while fishing on the river bank and take home a bag of goodies. Bring your own fishing pole or borrow one from the park. Bait is provided by the park. Participants ages 16 and up must have a valid Arkansas fishing license.
This is a great opportunity to learn the skills needed to enjoy Arkansas’s Free Fishing Weekend which begins at noon Friday, June 10th and ends at midnight, June 12th. Advance registration is required for this workshop. Deadline to register is 3 p.m., Thursday, May 19th, 2016.
