The Calico Rock Museum Foundation is pleased to announce that Rhoda Doerr has been elected to a two year term on the board of trustees. Doerr will begin her term of service immediately which will expire on December 31, 2016.
The foundation raises funds for and operates the Calico Rock Museum & Visitor Center and the Printing Press Café & Ice Cream Parlor. The foundation partners with the Calico Rock Artisans Cooperative to operate the museum gift shop and to teach the community about the arts. While the arts are a critical component of the museum and its programs, Doerr will be the first artist to sit on the museum foundation board.
Rhoda Doerr was born in Alaska where she developed her artistic expression and love for nature. She is a distinguished and honored artist who has lived, worked and shown in Alaska, Wisconsin and Arkansas.
